Security breaches can result in loss of revenue, customer confidence and damage to your organisation's brand imange and reputation. Further legislation and security standards will demand more rigid security policies and monitoring of compliance. The Pansec Vulnerability Scanner is an essential component of your security armoury, providing regular and automated risk assessments of your defences.

You can choose to run the Pansec Vulnerability Scanner either as a remote managed service or as an appliance running within your own organisation. Which ever way you choose, the same state of the art vulnerabilty scanner is at your command. See how it works in our technical description of the scanner's operation.

The Vulnerability Scanner runs two types of test:

  • Intensive tests which scan all TCP and UDP ports as well as testing common protocols and services
  • Thorough tests which scan about 5000 TCP and UDP ports as well as testing common protocols and services.

The Vulnerability Scanner provides the following services:

  • Daily testing provides 6 thorough tests and 1 intensive test spread over a weekly cycle.
  • Weekly testing provides 3 thorough tests and 1 intensive test spread over a 4 week cycle.
  • Monthly testing provides 2 thorough tests and 1 intensive test spread over a 3 month (quarterly) cycle.
  • Ad-hoc testing provides a package of thorough or intensive tests that a customer may run as required.

Customers receive the following reports:

  • Engineer's Test Report - gives full details of all exposures and changes together with technical information on ports open and tests performed. View sample report.
  • Manager's Test Report - gives full details of all exposures and changes but omits technical details.
  • Exception Test Report - gives full details of all changes to the system relative to the baseline (or since the system was last tested.)
  • Summary Report - gives a summary of all tests performed over a given period making it easier to pin-point significant changes and problems. View sample report.
